Our Wedding Day!!

On April 5, 2008 Tucker and I had the best day of our lives!  We were united in marriage while surrounded by our wonderful family and friends!  We couldn’t have asked for a better day.  It started out raining cats and dogs and as some said that I would have to make alternate plans being that the whole day was planned outside, I knew that it was going to be beautiful and had no doubt that it would turn out exactly as I expected it.  After all I had already had my talk with God about how it wasn’t going to rain on the wedding.

We arrived at Alabama5Rivers  around 2:00 p.m. and right when we got dressed and ready to take pictures low and behold the birds were chirping and the clouds were spreading!  It quit raining!!!!!  The rain actually made for a great day and great pictures with no squinting!  Since the sun wasn’t beaming down, it wasn’t too hot and therefore no sweating, well at least not until the dancing started and the weather had nothing to do with that.  

Instead of doing a traditional wedding, Tucker and I decided that it would suit us better to have a very casual wedding.  With a bar opened before the ceremony for a social setting and only seating the family while friends watched us from above the day turned out to be such a happy, laid back time for friends and family to get together to celebrate our marriage.  We wouldn’t have had it any other way and looking back I would not change a thing!  

We partied the night away and when it was time to go (I did not want to leave) we went to the Battle House Hotel in downtown Mobile for roughly 5 hours before we had to catch our flight to Jamaica.  Even though we missed the flight (definitely all Tucker’s fault) we were so excited and consumed by the happiness of being married.  Oh, and don’t worry we made up the time we missed in Jamaica by staying an extra day due to missing the flight back as well Once again Tucker’s fault
